SAFETY PROTOCOLS FOR OUR PRACTICE

As always, our goal is to provide you with the quality eye care you need in a safe and healthy environment.

In dealing with COVID-19, and in keeping with CDC guidelines, we have implemented enhanced safety protocols to protect you throughout your visit. Our office is taking the following precautions to minimize exposure and help you feel comfortable and confident in receiving the care you deserve.

What New Jersey Vision does for our patients and staff:

*Patient and employee screening upon entrance, including a temperature check.
*The use of appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
*Thorough cleaning of instruments and chairs after each use.
*Social distancing measures in place.
*Frequent and routine disinfection of frequently touched surfaces, including bathrooms, doorknobs, counters, and chairs.
*Spaced entry to our office to prevent crowding (We may ask you to wait outside, or in your vehicle, until we are ready to see you).
*To enhance social distancing, we will see fewer patients each day.
*The placement of protective barriers throughout the office.
Once you enter the office, please:
*Sanitize your hands
*Wear a face mask or cover and keep it on for the duration of your visit.
We know that masks and other PPE (personal protective equipment) protect us and help us protect others while in public places. If you need a mask, please ask us, and we will provide one to you. Remember to have your mask cover your nose and mouth, and do not remove it unless requested to do so by your provider.
*Complete a modified check-in process. To keep everyone who enters our office safe, we conduct COVID-19 screenings. The screening is easy and takes less than a minute. This screening will include questions about your potential exposure to COVID-19 and any current symptoms. We will include a temperature measurement and oxygen level with your screening.
*Observe proper social distancing guidelines
*Unless required for caregiving, all patient companions should wait outside the office. Patient companions allowed inside the office must arrive wearing a face mask.
*To minimize your time in our office, please complete all paperwork online in advance of your visit. During your exam, keep conversation to a minimum. Dr. Vogel will speak with you once your exam is completed.

Rest assured, we are doing everything possible to deliver the first-class eye care you expect from us, in an environment that is safe for all. We much appreciate your cooperation and understanding as we adjust to this new normal. By working together, we can reduce the risk of infection to you, our healthcare providers, our office staff, and the entire community.

If you are experiencing any symptoms of illness, including fever, cough, loss of taste or smell, and shortness of breath, please call us. We will reschedule your visit or move you to a telehealth appointment. Of course, if you have severe symptoms, seek immediate medical care, or call 911. Your health and safety are our highest priorities.

TELEHEALTH VISITS

New Jersey Vision offers telehealth visits performed via multiple methods depending on your comfort with technology. We can even evaluate your eye health with a phone call if necessary.
A telehealth visit is not a substitute for an in-person exam. It serves as an enhancement to allow us to better care for you and your eyes.
